Copperline started at a tiny desk with a stack of paper samples and a simple aim: make good design approachable for small businesses. Mara began with a bakery identity and a handful of print projects, working directly with owners who cared deeply about what they made.

We moved into a brighter Portland studio with space to spread out sketches, test packaging and invite owners into the process. Shops, cafés and makers became the heart of our work. Every project still began the same way: sit down, listen well and find out what matters.
