Inner pages, blog & templates

Match your Blog, Single Post, Page, Archive, Search, and 404 templates to your imported design under Kerf → Inner pages.

Most AI tools only generate a home page (index.html)—yet a real WordPress site needs a Blog index, Single Post template, standard Page template, Category/Date Archives, Search results, and a 404 page. Kerf → Inner pages makes sure every one of those pages looks like part of the same site.

Automatic home page measurement

Right after you import a design, Kerf loads your new home page in a hidden frame and measures its computed typography, heading hierarchy, background colors, text colors, border radius, and container width. Any template your ZIP didn’t explicitly include is automatically wrapped in your imported Header and Footer and styled with those exact measured tokens.

Importing designer-drawn templates

If your ZIP includes dedicated HTML files for WordPress templates—such as blog.html, post.html (or single.html), page.html, archive.html, search.html, or 404.html—Kerf detects them during the pre-import check and turns them into live Full Site Editing block templates.

Customizing under Kerf → Inner pages

Open Kerf → Inner pages to preview and fine-tune how your Blog, Post, Page, Archive, Search, and 404 templates look:

  • Preview each page type live inside the admin screen.
  • Adjust background, surface, text, and accent colors or typography tokens measured from your home page.
  • Switch any template between its imported custom layout and the measured default style at any time.

Generating missing templates with an AI prompt

Under the Design your own tab in Kerf → Inner pages, Kerf lists every template type that doesn’t have a custom HTML file yet and writes a ready-to-copy prompt containing your design’s exact CSS classes, header/footer context, and data-kerf-* markers. Paste that prompt into Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini to get matching HTML templates ready to import.
